MICROBIAL SIGNALS

Decoding the molecular signals that regulate microbial behaviour.

FROM MILK TO BIOACTIVE FRACTIONS

Milk proteins contain latent bioactive molecules that can be released through digestion, fermentation and other proteolytic processes.

MicroSintesis’ research has identified activity-enriched, peptide-rich fractions derived predominantly from casein that influence microbial signalling and virulence-associated behaviour.

Functional fractionation allows us to locate biological activity within complex mixtures — providing a starting point for understanding which molecules, or combinations of molecules, are responsible.

DECODING THE BIOLOGY

Identifying an active fraction is only the beginning.

We are working to understand which molecules are present, which combinations drive biological activity, how they affect microbial signalling pathways, and how those responses translate into biological outcomes.

Connecting molecular composition with microbial response creates an increasingly detailed understanding of microbial behaviour.

This is the foundation of Microbial Intelligence.
